Rites of Passage
What you can do or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has magic and power in it.
~John Anster
(inspired by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe)
Honouring New Life
“Let choice whisper in your ear and love murmur in your heart.
Be ready. Here comes life.”
~Maya Angelou
However you welcome a new life into the family, the change can be all encompassing. Babies and children bring joy and wonder and their arrival is definitely an occasion to be marked.
For a birthing parent, there may be both emotional and physical changes and challenges to face. For a supporting partner, a chance to witness the power and strength of their loved one. And for an adoptive family, the special honour of a chosen bond.

From mother blessings to baby namings to adoption ceremonies, whatever your path to parenthood, let's mark the occasion with a celebration and an opportunity to be supported by friends and loved ones.
Celebrating Next Steps
"It takes courage to grow up and become
who you really are."
~E. E. Cummings
Joseph Campbell wrote about the importance of rites of passage, as we move from one stage of life to the next. In the absence of such initiation, young people often find themselves adrift or drawn toward more painful paths to adulthood.
I can help you create a First Moon blessing, coming out or gender acknowledgement ceremony or other rites of passage for your child as they step into a new role in the world.
